,Looking at Isaiah 3, you’re right on about the nose rings, our ancestors had all types of jewelry, accessories, and apparel, but it made them haughty before The Most High, they looked down upon the poor of Yah’s people, their people, our people. I don’t think it’s a sin because Yah gave us jewels, but we just have to be careful not to be vain and puffed up, giving Him all the glory. Personally, I love wearing earrings but stopped a couple of years ago because I felt the spiritual attacks when I wear them vs when I do not. When coming out of Egypt, YAHUAH told our ancestors to get jewelry from the Egyptians for themselves and their children (Exodus 3, 11 &12). Ezekiel 13 shows Yah was adorning His bride, His wife. Jewelry can be beautiful, the ephod worn by the high priest (Exodus 39) and New Jerusalem (Rev 21)
In high school, I said I was going to get ten tattoos when I was grown and thankful I never got one; even though some Israelite teachers say that is only pertaining to tattoos to honor and worship the dead, I would rather not have any. But like you said, if we do have them, don’t let that stop us from coming to Yah, we repent and let go of any shame or condemnation. That’s coming as we are, like some of the attributes Yah didn’t take away from you so He can use them for His Kingdom, only giving that example because you always tell us about that. That’s what comes as you are mean, not the perverted doctrine taught by modern, traditional, Roman Christianity.
1There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Please see the attached; I’m not sure if you’re familiar with this site. The Most High first showed it to me back in 2009-2010. If you click the evil helladay tab, there’s a nice summary of a lot of the popular ones. I’m not sure what happened to the creator(s) of the site because all the tabs that say updates are coming have said that since at least back then and possibly earlier.
P.s. today is my born date. People are like, what are you doing today? I’m like praising Yah for another year. So glad you came out with that lesson. HalleluYah

APTTMHY for blessing you with another year of life, Achoti! ??
This post is such a great reminder to not fall into the trap of vanity in jewels and things that are pleasing to the eye. Being adorned with jewelry (and tattoos) CAN be beautiful, however it can quickly and easily become a distraction for ourselves and others, as it takes away from the cause or root of our true beauty which stems and radiates from Yahuah, our creator.
I also appreciate the reminder that we should come to Yahuah AS WE ARE. We should let go of worldly things, repent and walk in Yahuah, and all things shall be made well, as long as we believe in Him. I don’t have tattoos but have thought about getting one in my youth. If anything was going to get me, it was the nose ring, which I’ve longed for (maybe even lusted for) since my adolescent years up until last year even. For some reason, it never came to past. Now I know why and believe that it was Yah all along. He was keeping me humble and I receive it.
Also, I’m reminded that coming “as we are”, not only relates to our physical modifications but also our mental and spiritual modifications and scars. We go through so much in life and we sin in many ways but Yahuah forgives as long as we have a repentant heart and also a long as we seek his righteousness.

Thanks Achoti for the perspective. As we are. It makes sense cause nothing we adorn can hide us from Yah’s eyes. Only man focuses on external. Yah sees the heart and he beautifies the external to match. I also am tattoo free. Don’t really think I’ve ever been tempted to get one even though I’ve considered solely for the names of my loved ones. Glad I didn’t list for it though. Who knows. Yah might have good his Son’s assembly from you and I would miss all the meat you feed us with through scripture. Praise Yah for another year to have Shalom and praise his NAME. Love you Achoti and keep serving YAH. It’s obvious he has Anointed you. Shalom

I’m so thankful that I didn’t get any tattoos as well. We know that Yah can and will forgive our past sins, thankful for His grace and mercy. But I know if I had any I would want to have them removed after lusting for such vanity for some many years. Thanks for your continued encouragement.
